Other Advent Resources
Throughout Advent, we will be bringing you a feast of spiritual, liturgical, musical and other resources to mark this great season. We begin a little early with a host of online Advent retreats from many denominations and from across the world.
We will be adding to this page regularly.
Note: while some of these retreats incur a charge, many are free.

For the four weeks of Advent, the Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Scotland offers you material for daily prayer. Each day there will be scripture to pray with; music specially selected for the day; an image linked to the Scripture; and a daily Advent reflection. Since this retreat is self-guided, you can follow it in your own time.

Every Monday during Advent, the national church leaders of The Anglican Church of Canada, The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, The Presbyterian Church in Canada and The United Church of Canada will release an ecumenical Advent meditation and conversations reflecting the four Advent themes of hope, peace, joy and love, and addressing challenges facing the Canadian churches.
Every Thursday during Advent, listeners are invited to join in a live discussion, via Zoom, with one of the leaders on that week’s Advent theme. Attendees to the gathering will be able to ask questions during the online conversation.
